Citroën CX – Bespoke Motorhome
Here’s something I spotted back in October when it went to auction. It looks like nothing I’ve ever seen.
It was originally commissioned in 1982 by an agricultural company; seemingly eager to make an impression, they used it primarily to carry their microlight and it’s wing, so that they could demonstrate aerial-crop-dusting.…

Snazzy Maps
I have a thing for maps this week.
For those who aren’t aware you can completely, near-limitlessly, customise google maps (either live or in code). There’s something strangely satisfying about it. Lots of user created styles on the Snazzy Maps website too.…

The Perfect Road Trip
This is the “perfect road trip”, mathematically engineered by Randal S. Olson. Perfect as in it is optimised to go via all 48 states, and take in 50 of the most major landmarks chosen by Tracy Staedter.
It’s created using genetic algorithms.

Shooting at Your Wife
Ever feel like you need some more man-points? Try shooting at your wife’s face. Just don’t forget to make her hold the bulletproof glass up first.
I should imagine this was quite impressive in 1932, though it’s still outrageous now. …

Chevrolet Corsair – Motorama Concept 1954
Chevrolet Corvair – 1954
Can’t get enough of the crisp lines in this image – shame it doesn’t look so sharp in the real-world. Originally the car was shown at GM’s Motorama, 1954, but it never made it into production; however, the name was later re-used in 1960 for Chevrolet’s new compact car.…

Tablet Hacking Kids
Illiterate Ethiopian kids get ‘given’ a bunch of tablets, proceed to work out how to use them unaided, and subsequently hack them until they can use the camera. GOOD EFFORT. Check out the article.

Oceanwings – Squirrel Suit for Divers
The ‘Oceanwings’ is a swimsuit designed by Aqua Lung and takes it’s cues from skydiving wingsuits. There’s a video demo of it below, but I think it would benefit significantly from some kind of propulsion. Although I guess speed isn’t everything…
