Lucy Pullen’s Spark Chamber makes cosmic rays visible by using the ionised path created through a gas medium to bridge a gap between high voltage plate, causing a spark. Find out more about spark chambers here and here.
Pullen also made a cloud chamber, serving a similar purpose but instead condensing a stream of alcohol vapour.…
